Mr Serge Demers, Director of ISMER-UQAR and president of the St. Lawrence Global Observatory (SLGO), participated in a trade mission to Argentina, May 24 to June 2, 2008.

The delegation from Rimouski was able to meet with Argentinean authorities and participated in several working sessions with the country's high-ranking officials. As a result of this visit, four collaboration agreements were signed including one on the implementation of an oceanic observatory in the Gulf of San Jorge based on the SLGO model.
